Lifestyle medicine uses therapeutic lifestyle interventions to prevent and mitigate symptoms of chronic conditions including, cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension.  Lifestyle medicine applies evidence-based, whole-person, lifestyle change to treat and, when used intensively, often reverse such conditions. Applying the six pillars of lifestyle medicine—a whole-food, plant-predominant eating pattern, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connections—also provides effective prevention for these conditions. Well and Ruffled recognizes a seventh thread of health being financial health. We do not offer certified training for this, but we understand that it is essential to have financial stability in order to meet overall wellness. Keep in mind, this is not wealth, but rather financial health to obtain your essential needs; housing, clothing, food and water.
